At last, Xiaomi has launched the much-awaited band smart band which is Mi Band 5 that comes with amazing features and colour screen. Mi Band 5 which was launched in June globally has now launched in India and sale started from 1st of October.
This band 5 is priced at ₹2,499 making it pricier amongst its predecessors but comes with noteworthy improvements.
In this blog, we are going to see whether Mi band 5 is the perfect value of money or you should for another option.
There’s no such difference in design if we compare it with the predecessor band 4 but this band is small and light, with a rubber strap that Xiaomi delivers in every of its band which feels quite comfortable wearing throughout the day. The strap of the band uses the loop-and-clip mechanism and can fit most wrist sizes and is available in different colours sold separately.
The best improvement done by Xiaomi is on the display of Band 5. This band has 1.1 inches, OLED display which is slightly bigger than Band 4 and the screen also supports 100 per cent of the P3 colour gamut in Mi band 5.
This band doesn’t have an ambient light sensor, but the screen is pretty bright outside and is easily visible in direct sunlight. However, you have to adjust the brightness manually and overall, Mi band 5 has impressed with the display and there’s nothing to complain about it.
The company claims that Mi band 5 can run up to 2 weeks on a single charge while band 4 can run up to 20 days. However, Xiaomi says that Mi band 5 can run up to 20 days if it runs in power saving mode.
Moreover, they have made changes in changing the band. This time you no need to put the band out from the strap rather Xiaomi has added USB magnetic Charging cable, which powers the band through pins.
This time Xiaomi has added tons of amazing features in Mi band 5.
They have equipped the band with 11 different modes like freestyle workout, elliptical, pool swimming, treadmill, indoor cycling etc.
Mi band 5 also offers Personal Activity Intelligence mode (PAI), Sleep tracking (now you can track mid-day naps), breathing exercise mode, stress monitoring, menstrual cycle tracking and a camera shutter.
Should You buy the Mi band 5?
Mi band 5 is one the best band available in the bracket of under ₹3000 in the market. You are getting tons of useful features and improvements at just only ₹2,499. I’m using this bands since its being launched in India and I’m very happy with the display and different modes it offers, I feel this band is perfect value for money and you can invest in this product without thinking twice.
