On September 1, at last, Samsung has launched the most awaited smartphone of the year, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 with a lot of changes and improvements from the Predecessor. But before purchasing this fantastic beast should you think it worth the price? Would you think this phone will complete the need for tablet and phone in one? Let’s check it out the significant improvements it brings from the original Galaxy Fold and should you consider this phone or not.
Samsung has really done a great job this year from its entry-level smartphone to the premium flagship smartphone.
This time they have learned so many things from the predecessor in terms of camera, processor and the better main screen and the phone even much better.
Let’s discuss some specification of Fold 2
The main feature of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is the screen that features 7.6-inch Full-HD+ foldable which is dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O Display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and 22.5:18 aspect ratio.
The Front screen after fold is an edge to edge 6.2-inch Super AMOLED Infinity Flex Display with 25:9 ratio.
The Samsung Galaxy Z fold 2 has three cameras at the back and two cameras at the front.
All the three back cameras are of 12 megapixel in which the primary lens is f/1.8 and supports dual-pixel focusing which helps you to shoot in low light conditions.
The other one is a telephoto lens that can zoom 2x optical and 10x hybrid, while the third lens is Ultra-wide that will be helpful in group photos and landscapes views.
The Fold 2 supports 5G powered by 865+ processor and come with 12GB of RAM but with the smooth and responsive software, the Fold 2 will amaze you by its performance.
There is a possibility like Samsung Galaxy Note 20 ultra we can see Exynos 990 chip in some regions in Fold 2.
How Fold 2 is better from the original Fold?
This year Samsung has increased the size of the screen when folded shut and even the folded screen and tried to make eye to the edge.
The second Improvement is on cameras in terms of increasing the aperture of the lens by which Low light Pictures will have more light and clarity.
The third difference is on a battery that has been slightly increased by 120 mAh i.e now Fold 2 has 4500 mAh battery which I think it’s small but all depends on the software and usability of the consumer.
Rest of the small specifications are almost the same.
My Verdict and Price
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is an amazing phone which you can consider but have sacrifice with the limitation. First, this phone is not waterproof which you can get even in entry-level phones and the second is the price.
Samsung has launched the Fold 2 globally but the price is yet to be revealed. If I talk about India then the original Fold was launched at the hefty price of 1,64,999 last year so I will not expect Fold 2 less than this price.
If you are crazy for premium phones, bigger screen, follow the latest trends and money doesn’t matter to you than you can go with this phone, else the folding technology is new and pricey you should wait some more time till this folding technology gets affordable for the general public.
