This is the big news for the travellers who are waiting for long to travel Himachal. Due to the Corona Virus, everything was closed since March 24, but during unlocking period the state government lifted some restrictions slowly with some strict rule of having Covid-19 report preset with you and registration on the website before entry in Himachal was mandatory.
But on 16th of September, we travellers and backpackers have good that from now Covid-19 Negative report is not required in Himachal Pradesh. Moreover, registration on the website before coming is not required now.
No Covid-19 Negative Report, E-Registration Required
Yes, though the cases of Himachal are increasing day by day and is about to touch to 11000 in coming days, out of which 3820 cases are still active, after the opening of tourism will increase the chance of corona in the hills if all the norms are lifted.
But on 16th of September, Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh confirmed that now no Corona negative report will be demanded.
This was confirmed by CM just after the state cabinet confirmed that no registration is required or mandatory to enter the Himachal Pradesh.
This means that you no longer need to show the Covid-19 negative report in advance hotel booking and you are free to stay in any hotel without confirming your corona negative report.
Interstate Buses will Remain Suspended
The other report is also coming up is that the movement of interstate buses will still continue to remain suspended until any order will be given by the cabinet.
However, this clearly means that if you are planning to travel Himachal then you should have your own vehicle unless you will not get any public transport for now.
Bars are Now Open
Reports also say that the government is all set to reopen Bars in the state with strict compliance of the standard operating procedure (SOP) issued by the central and state government after coronavirus lockdown.
A notification has been issued to this effect that the Bar across the state will be going to follow social distancing norms, issued by special secretary, excise and taxation, Arindam Chaudhary.
This is a great Initiative by the state government to restart the tourism industry and a great for all those travellers who were finding ways to travel Himachal.
As we all are aware of the condition of Himachal in term of hospitality and proper medication and as the cases are increasing, will our journey really worth to risk the life of the locals?
Think about it, take the necessary measures if you cannot resist more sitting at your home, wear a mask, follow social distancing norms and always think for the local before making any plans. We can have all facilities in big cities but for them, it’s a very difficult situation.
