Inter-state Bus Service is now resumed
Well, if you love to travel alone or with a partner and want to save money on travelling, then there can be no other mode of travelling cheaper than buses. The latest news coming from Himachal Pradesh government is that the inter-state bus service is now resumed from 14th of October. Not only in day time but the resumption includes night bus service.
After 7 months, now tourist, travellers and local can now travel from the inter-state bus. The borders of Himachal Pradesh which is already opened to travel now the bus service, the tourism will now flourish in a much better way. The service which was shut down for months will now be restarted in phases.
The Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) will run buses on 25 inter-state routes which include Jammu, Chandigarh, Ambala, Haridwar, Ludhiana, Hoshiarpur and Rajasthan said by Transport Minister Bikram Singh.
No AC Buses for now
Bikram Singh (Transport Minister) stated that only non-airconditioned bus will be resumed for now and due to the coronavirus and winters are coming there is no need for the air-conditioned buses for now and also have to look upon the safety of passengers.
He also said that the government has taken the decision for the upcoming Navratri and other festive season and people are also demanding for the resumption of inter-state buses.
Due to COVID-19, after watching the circumstances in future, more states and routes will be opened gradually.
Measures for Corona Virus
With the resumption of inter-state bus services, the measures will be taken on buses. There will be no overcrowding on the bus, all drivers and conductors have to wear masks, use sanitizers and every bus will be sanitized before its journey. As the festive season is coming, there will be more people travelling but the risk will also increase. Though its a blessing for the transport sector in the state but awareness and safety measures are equally important to run the bus service safely.
